Our Mission Statement is to support and promote a business community of excellence.

The Seven Lakes/West End Area Business Guild is a registered North Carolina non-profit organization.  The Guild is a group of owners & operators of retail, building trades, and professional services doing business in the non-incorporated villages of Seven Lakes, West End, Jackson Springs, and Eagle Springs.  All share common ideals as to what the Guild should be and how it should serve its members and communities.

The Guild offers members the opportunity to network with fellow business people.  It affords its members the opportunity to understand the area's business environment, and develop relationships for business and social purposes.  It allows its members to share their aspirations for their business and establish its position in the community.  Since our villages are non-incorporated, and therefore receive no proceeds from tax revenues, funding of community projects to which the Guild is committed comes primarily from the annual dues of its members. Maintaining community roads within the business district, maintenance of common grounds, and sponsorships of periodic community events are endeavors most diligently supported by the Guild.  The Guild traditionally sponsors a Spring event, Seven Lakes Expo, a Fall "Meet the Merchants Night", and the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.  These events are aimed at promoting local businesses, and to inform the public of what goods and services are available within the community.  In addition to the above named events, the Guild also maintains the Commons' well landscaped areas, participates in the NC Adopt A Highway program on 211, and supports the 7 Lakes Beautification Committee that is improving the landscaping along NC 211 and Seven Lakes Drive.  The Guild has started a long range project, with the cooperation of the 7 Lakes Landowners Association, the 7 Lakes West Landowners Association, and the 7 Lakes Civic Group, to upgrade the business area's roads and streets to state standards so that they might be incorporated into the NC Highway System where they will be maintained in the future by the Highway Department.
